Racing Phenom on the Road to Greatness
Stevie officially started racing in 2014. His first race was at night. In his first season, he raced 3 races, and then we had some problems, and the cars were not accessible. Stevie started racing again 2 years later. We had to rework the car to fit him. 2017 was a good year, producing 1 main event and 2 heat race wins. 2018 has shown even more improvement. Over 5 main event wins and 5 heat wins.
Stevie has a collection of over 70 trophies. His goal is to beat the number of trophies his dad has. (125) He is on his way.
Steve has many skills and is very talented in just about everything he tries. He likes to wheelie... Wants to be the new wheelie king.
Stevie's first car was the Rice car. It was 1995, and Dad had to modify it for a week to get the cockpit small enough for him. He got this hand-me-down from Matt. Stevie's second car is Matt's old Bullrider 2005. I have spent time and money to get it to where he can win in it. Stevie won multiple races in the rookie classes.
Stevie was promoted from red rookie to blue rookie, and now our goal for 2019 is to be promoted to Senior Honda. He placed 2nd and 3rd place for the year in VSQMA. He has won multiple races in Senior Honda. His 2019 was 2nd place. His 2020 was second place. In his 2021 year, he moved to the 160 class and won a few of those races. He will finish out this year's racing and focus on our new Sprint cars.
2021 Stevie has placed 1st and 2nd in his Jr Sprint car. He was riding a borrowed car, and Ryon from our team purchased the car and made many changes to it. We are hoping to see all top 3 places after we get the changes complete.
2021 Steve has just started to get his feet wet with his Mini Sprint car. He has been in the car 4 times and has shown drastic improvements. We look forward to continuing this momentum. We will focus on the Jr sprints until we feel he is ready for the Mini sprints.
